According to Tech Times, the high-end model of Dell XPS 15 sports a 15.6-inch 4K Ultra HD InfinityEdge display with a screen resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. It is slightly better than the MacBook Pro 2016 that has a 15.4-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels. Apple has stated that the display is 67 percent brighter than its predecessors but consumes 30 percent less energy. It has an internal storage capacity of 256GB and 512GB SSD. The Dell XPS 15 has a 256GB SSD.
It is powered by a seventh-gen Intel Core processor that houses a quad-core i5-7300HQ processor and 8GB of RAM. Dell offers fans to upgrade the RAM up to 32GB. The Apple MacBook Pro 2016 has a quad-core seventh-gen Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost but has only 16GB RAM. It is evident that Apple has packed in more power in terms of processor but has made users unhappy with a lesser capacity RAM. The MacBook Pro 2016 comes with a new Touch Bar that allows users to carry out several activities, even playing games.
The Dell XPS 15 has amazing trackpad and keyboard with highly-responsive keys. It runs on Windows 10 and offers 97 watt-hour battery, whereas the MacBook Pro 2016's 76 watt-hour battery supports 10 hours of usage. The Apple laptop runs on MacOS Sierra. It has a 720p HD camera while the XPS 15 has a Widescreen HD 720p camera. Price is always a big deciding factor and here the Dell XPS 15 beats Apple MacBook Pro 2016 hands down.
The former comes with a price tag of $1,599 and comes in a single hue whereas the Apple laptop has a hefty price tag of $2,499, available in Silver and Space Grey color options.
