‘The Originals’ Season 4 Returns With Klaus Marcel Reunion; Season 5 Is Possible Depending On Show Performance?
Caitlin MooreThough "The Originals" did not get a green light for a Season 5 renewal, the CW President Mark Pedowitz remains hopeful that "The Vampire Diaries" spin-off would still continue. Apparently, the people behind the network needs to consider the ratings of the series before they can make a decision whether or not to get another season, which they plan to reveal in May. Meanwhile, "The Originals" Season 4 spoilers suggest that Marcel and Klaus may be reunited but interestingly, there could be hope for a reconciliation between the two.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, "The Originals" may still go on with its own storyline even if "TVD" is concluding soon. According to Pedowitz, the renewal of the show for a fifth season will, of course, depend on how well it performs. With the impact that the vampires and hybrids of New Orleans made into the audience, it is highly likely for "The Originals" to get a Season 5 but fans need to wait until it delivers good ratings to the network first.
Meanwhile, it seems that "TVD" spinoff is gearing up for an exciting return as Klaus and Marcel will finally face each other once again after the latter stabbed the original hybrid with Papa Tunde's blade. In the preview posted on TVLine, it was teased that one integral part of the new season is the reckoning between the two main characters of the show. Klaus and Marcel will reportedly see the "hope of healing some wounds."
Could this mean truce between the two families too? Well, that's something that fans need to see when Season 4 returns. However, there is more to expect in the upcoming installment of the hit vampire series as Hope will also become a central character who has now grown up to be a strong member of the Mikaelsons. She is described as someone who has inherited her mother Hayley's wits but also shared her father's "temper and willingness to do whatever it takes to protect her family."
"The Originals" Season 4 air date is set on March 17 at 8/7c on The CW. Check out the trailer below.
