Aside from Ubisoft adding a brand new Rock Star skin Bundle for Caviera and other features, which are now available on "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege", all new Patch 5.3 has arrived with one ultimate purpose and that is to tidy up an impressive number of bugs.
Many of the bugs reportedly emerged in the wake of December's hefty "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" content update. Fortunately, Ubisoft thoroughly addressed these bugs that eventually overwhelmed the game and simultaneously made fixes to individual operators, game modes, maps and more, according to vg247.
The latest feature that has been added to the Custom Lobby is a pause button. It allows the host to pause the fight during the Operator Selection Phase. This is done by pressing the End key or the Start button and Up on the d-pad. Pressing it again restarts the timer and this new pause feature will be apparently very useful to players who are in private game lobbies.
In addition, improved maneuverability for Echo's Yokai drones, Jager's Magpie device, a fix to Frost's floor trap and more are included in the most expected major fixes of "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege".
Furthermore, some of the fixed bugs are potentially important to gameplay such as the shield of a shield-using player will no longer stay equipped when the player goes prone to use a drone. The drones can no longer use a dead attacker's shield to move the defuser.
Shields will also stop vanishing as a result of clipping issues. Also, players won't have a problem seeing or interacting with the defuser on Favela.
Other issues addressed in this patch are less serious; kill cam shouldn't clip through walls and melee kills will not be displaying as headshots anymore in the kill feed. The update also does away with the kill cam showing players as having raptor legs.
The update which started rolling out on January 11 has hastily approached all time zones now. Here is the full list of "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" 5.3 patch, via the Ubisoft forums.
