'Eagle Flight' Lets You Play As A Bird

If you have ever wondered how to make your dreams of flying a reality, look no further. Ubisoft's upcoming VR game "Eagle Flight" will let you fly as an eagle as you explore the skies of Paris.

Ubisoft's game overview for the VR title reads: "50 years after humans vanished from the face of the Earth, nature reclaimed the city of Paris, leaving a breathtaking playground. As an eagle, you soar past iconic landmarks, dive through narrow streets, and engage in heart-pounding aerial dogfights to protect your territory from opponents." The title's overview also revealed that gamers can use "innovative and intuitive controls" to get the hang of an eagle's flying abilities to "perform impressive aerial maneuvers in the blink of an eye."

Players can do more than just flapping their in-game wings in "Eagle Flight." According to Games Radar, "you can speed effortlessly through a virtual Paris, ducking between buildings and skimming the surface of the river Seine, watching salmon leap around you." Gamers can also zoom through catacombs at incredible speeds while also trying to maneuver a maze filled with debris, other creatures and tight-fitting passageways. In "Eagle Flight," all this and more is possible by making slight movements with your head and the PSVR.

The single-player mode of VR game from Ubisoft can take around 15 hours or so to finish, and "Eagle Flight" starts as the player-controlled character (or eagle) is hatched from an egg. The game lets you explore Paris, which is no longer populated by humans. As an eagle, you must learn how to navigate the city while exploring your territory and learning how to deal with the dangers present in each district.

Controlling the game is done by tilting the players head to determine where you fly on the screen. Aside from the single-player aspect of the game, "Eagle Flight" also has a multiplayer mode that lets two competing teams play Capture the Flag across Paris. The title can be bought for $39.99 on either the PlayStation VR, the Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive.
