It looks like LG plans on offering more with its 4K TVs. New reports on the company's Super UHD TV series in 2017 has come up with three new variants. These are the SJ8000, SJ8500, and SJ9500 which use nanotechnology -based LCDs. These nano cell LCDs are so uniform in size that it promises better picture quality and smoother colours even when watching TV from a side position.

The nanotechnology used in the device is capable of absorbing excessive wavelengths of light which prevent color bleeding, unwanted colors, fading, and other elements that hinder the vibrant qualities of an image on the TV.

Other updates on LG's plans comprise of partnership with Technicolor for better precision. The company plans on achieving this through Technicolor's Expert Mode and Advanced HDR. Further improvements in the TV's technology and viewing experience comes in with the use of Hybrid Log Gamma support, HDR10, and Dolby Vision.

LG also looks forward to achieving higher level of HDR visuals without associating with the format of the picture. All the Nano Cell LCDs are able to insert HDR data into each frame. This HDR data inclusion in the raw material leads to a higher level of HDR effect.

In addition, LG's WebOS software is not a new one, but it promises to offer more than last year's TVs. There is a new Magic Lin button on the TV's remote that enables quick access to favourite media such as Netflix and Amazon. It will also give information about the content. Another feature added by the company in its new TVs is VR ready entertainment. For that, users will have to plug the TV into a computer or phone using a USB cable.

We still do not have detailed information on the upcoming TVs, but we do assume that SJ9500 will be the top-of-the-line product among them. It is reported that the model will have just 0.27 inches of thickness. Will LG deliver what it takes to offer a great TV through Nanotechnology? We'll soon find out at the upcoming CES 2017.
