‘Arrow’ Season 5 Reveals The Real Identity Of The New Laurel Lance; Existence Of Diggle’s Son Remains A Mystery
Keisha WallaceFans need not wait to see episode 10 of "Arrow" Season 5 to know that the Laurel Lance who returned in the midseason finale is not the real Black Canary of Earth One. The new trailer released by The CW just dropped a bombshell, confirming that the former attorney of Star City was not resurrected from the dead.
Though the name of the returning face was not specifically mentioned in "Arrow" Season 5 episode 10 trailer, fans were quick to suggest that it was Black Siren. Every avid fan of The CW superhero TV shows is aware that Black Siren is Laurel's doppelganger from Earth Two who was first introduced on "The Flash" Season 2.
In an interview of TV Line with Showrunner Wendy Mericle, she revealed that Oliver will be very delighted to see his former partner but will definitely figure out what's going on. As it seems, Green Arrow's break from all his worries and problems is kept short as the familiar face he loves and welcomed with happiness will quickly reveal her real self in the first episode of "Arrow" Season 5 this year.
Meanwhile, apart from Laurel's real identity, there is more to discover about the hit superhero TV series following the events of Flashpoint created by Barry on "The Flash" Season 3. It can be recalled that John Diggle's daughter Sarah became a son named John and even the show's Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim could not clarify his existence yet.
When asked by Entertainment Weekly whether John was the one featured on Legends of Tomorrow in Star City 2046, EP Guggenheim did not give a definite answer. Instead, he explained how difficult it is for them to come up with a version of John's story as time traveling could be complicated and he even said that he is not sure whether they would deal with the issue in the future.
"Arrow" Season 5 episode 10 air date is set on Jan. 25. In the meantime, let us know your reactions about Laurel's comeback. Why do you think she has to pretend and infiltrate Team Arrow?
