The Most Dangerous Weapons of 2016: New-Gen Weapons Of Mass Destruction With Insane Killing Abilities!
Jai2016 ended with some great announcements and inventions. Some inventions are for the greater good, while others are for the complete annihilation of the enemies. This list of the most dangerous weapons of 2016 comprises of what the various countries are testing in their field zones. The weapons down below are not ranked from top to bottom but are still deadly enough to enter the list of the most dangerous ones. That said, let's take a look at them.
The Chinese military successfully tested a new ATA missile technology that was able to hit the target from an unbelievable range of 300 miles and above. The military performed this test firing in November 2016 with the help of a Chinese J-16 fighter. The missile is being called as VLRAAM short form for Very Long Range Air-to-Air Missile and is almost 20 feet in length. As per Popular Science, the missile is currently holding the spot for the longest range missile with speeds reading Mach 6. VLRAAM is also capable of travelling at 100,000 feet above the ground making it almost impossible to escape.
The US Air Force launched the X-37B secret space drone for the fourth mission using an Atlas V rocket on May 20th, 2015. Ever since the launch, the X-37B is still orbiting the Earth's atmosphere. According to NASA, the drone is testing an ion-based propulsion engine known as Hall Thrusters. Besides that, it is working on long-term tests for spaceflights under the American space agency.
But, rumours suggest that there are secret experiments being held on the drone which was to be scheduled back to earth after a 200-day OTV-4 expedition. Others say that it is a high-end spy satellite. There are even theories of the Boeing X-37 being used for testing bombs from space. No matter what the real purpose it is having, readers can track it right here and learn about a possible dangerous weapon of 2016.
The name in itself is cringe worthy enough for most readers for sure. Rumours say that Russia's SATAN 2 nuclear missile is capable of desolating land as big as France or Texas. But, what is more, deadly is that the aftermath of the explosion due to this missile will kill most of the world's population because of the thermonuclear retaliation.
SATAN 2 has an official name which is RS-28 Sarmat, but we prefer the former one more due to the deadliness it offers. This extremely heavy intercontinental ballistic missile comes with a thermonuclear warhead. Its development started in 2009 which has now finally finished in August 2016. Its range is a little over 6,000 miles at Mach 7 speed and a payload of 10 tonnes. Surely, it needs to be the most dangerous weapons of 2016 list.
Here comes another Russian weapon and it is a huge 120mm howitzer cannon attached to the Ural-4320 armoured vehicle. This beast has a purpose of destroying anything that is stationery or moving with its explosive shell power. This commendable war machine is capable of carrying 80 rounds. The turret is able to perform complete 360-degree rotations. Moreover, the cannon also comes with a mounted 12.7mm machine gun for close range targets. Russia is likely to test Phlox for at the proving grounds of Syria and Crimea soon.
