'Twitter' Edit Button: Jack Dorsey Thinking A Lot About Tweet Editing

'Twitter' Edit Button: Possible in 2017?

Rommel

Twitter Edit Button is the recent discussion that the makers of the social media platform are going through in detail. CEO Jack Dorsey recently asked followers on Twitter regarding possible changes and improvements to be employed for better user experience and the "Twitter Edit Button" popped up and they may actually say yes to it.

Twitter Edit Button, among others, is the product of Dorsey's question of how to improve their social media services to their users. The said approach, borrowed from Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky, brought surprise to Dorsey the unthinkable - Edit function.

However, Twitter is still not 100% convinced about the matter. In his recent talk with Twitter users, he asked: "Following in the footsteps of Brian Chesky: what is the most essential thing you want for Twitter to improve on 2017? What other things should we create for you? #Twitter2017."

Twitter Edit Button is the most talked about suggestion from his nearly 4 million followers. Rolling out the said feature has its pros and cons - people detailed on what they wanted - whether it is for spelling corrections issues or if they tweet by mistake they can edit anytime.

There are those who proposed that a 5-minute window can be employed to regulate the usage, but still maintain the ingenuity of posting in the social media platform. Dorsey just took in all the suggestions as he is aware of the power of his platform. There are also those who suggested to keep some posts public and others off the record.

Aside from the Twitter Edit Button change, other changes people want to implement in 2017 is the organization of Twitter lists, additional Twitter character limit and better dealing with trolls and bot elimination. Changes on how conversations appear were also discussed in the conversation.

Will Twitter follow the trend? Facebook and Instagram had initially offered the same feature of modifying posts in their platforms after they have already been posted. For now, sharing you some things you might not know about Twitter:
