The "Aquaman" movie is one other standalone film that DC is trying to bring to life after being teased on "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Now confirmed as being in the making, questions slowly arise around the film as it inches forward to its release.

The Aquaman portrayal of actor Jason Momoa first made a cinematic appearance in the DC universe care of the 2016 film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." In the clip, Arthur Curry, Aquaman's real name, seemed to block a security footage that allegedly captured him underwater. From there, fans were already reassured that the Atlantean hero will be seen further in other DC film adaptations.

After much talk, the "Aquaman" movie will finally surface, confirming its cast for one. The most recent addition to the list is Orm, otherwise known as Ocean Master, one of the hero's most popular enemies. The actor behind this entity, Patrick Wilson, is no stranger to the comic book franchise and the DC universe. In a recent interview with Good Morning America, the "Watchmen" actor spoke on his ideas on the character and why he believes the film is timed perfectly for this generation.

Wilson explained that he did not know much about "Aquaman," though he never hated the character. "It wasn't that I didn't like Aquaman, but there weren't any movies about it. Any movies of real significance. We finally reached a point where we can match the technology with the artistic desire," Wilson said.

Cinema Blend stated that although this may be rational, it can still be justified that despite some technological advancements, there may still be a few discrepancies made on the film version, eventually. One such example is having some rather unpleasant CGI portions in the flying scenes of Superman in various media; which would still pale in comparison to the potential underwater delivery for "Aquaman" given the conditions. Generally, it may prove to be quite rough for the film to do it, but will look marvelous if done right.

"Aquaman" is slated to release on July 27, 2018. It will star Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe and Patrick Wilson.
