Do you think you have problems with your eyesight? We may have a solution for you. A Kickstarter campaign called the EyeQue Personal Vision Tracker, a device that allows you to have a low-cost simple vision test using your smartphone, according to a report by digitaltrends.

People who want to take the EyeQue test will use the mini microscope and attach it to their smartphone. Then, users will use the touchscreen to line up a green and red bar for the app to make refractive error measurements. This will enable the app to recognize vision conditions like farsightedness and nearsightedness. The app will track the user's previous trials after every session.

According to a report by yahoo, the results of your tests will enable you to order glasses from online retailers. This is an ideal alternative to people who don't have the time or resources to visit their optometrists on a regular basis.

John Serri, Chief Technology Officer of EyeQue, stated that this device is not meant to replace people's visits to an Eye Doctor. Rather, it's more of a health measure like brushing your teeth or clipping your nails. Serri also added that they are not about to be in competition with the optometry community but to be an ally and use modern technology to better connect with patients.

EyeQue received an award from CES for best fitness, sports and biotech products of 2017. Additionally, the app is a finalist for the Prism Awards for Photonics Innovation.

Currently, the Kickstarter campaign managed to receive over $71,000 of pledge. It is now available for pre-order via Kickstarter campaign.
