"The Young and the Restless" cast news reveals that Melissa Ordway, who plays Abby Newman, may soon be written off the CBS soap opera. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Abby went through a period of growth in the series when she became one of the main focus of the Mad Max arc.

Since the resolution of that arc, however, Abby has seemingly shifted back to uninteresting storylines, which led to speculations that Abby may soon leave "Young and Restless." The publication notes that her character may end up leaving Genoa City or she may be given a new love interest to make her character more interesting.

"Y&R" spoilers for 2017 from She Knows Soaps reveal that there is not much in store for Abby Newman in the forthcoming episodes. According to the publication, Abby will be looking for a way to utilize her talent and skills.

This does not sound pretty interesting to fans and viewers of "The Young and the Restless," especially after the writers of the CBS soap opera decided to end the "Stabby" romance. Many fans expressed that the show would be better off giving Abby a new love interest since they decided to end her relationship with Stitch (Ben).

Do you think Abby should be written off from "The Young and the Restless" or should she be given a new love interest? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
