Elon Musk, the Chief Executive Officer for Tesla, spoke to a Tesla Model S owner earlier latter part of November that a new version or an enhanced update on the autopilot feature will roll-out sometime in December. The company, Tesla, most probably be ready to activate and enable additional self-driving elements for the latest car releases before the end of the current year.
The company's CEO posted on a social media platform recently, "Looks like we might be ready to roll out most of Autopilot functionality for HW2 towards the end of next week," Elon Musk twitted, pertaining to the solid parts and hardware that was placed inside the latest automobiles of Tesla this recent October.
The vehicle company stated that during the time that the Autopilot 2 feature offered "Fully Autonomous Driving Capabilities," but not every feature of it was activated during the release. Tesla mentioned during that time that it will need to "further calibrate and adjust the system using several millions of mileage of real-time driving" for features like emergency automatic braking, warning for collisions and active cruise control would be ready for use and activation. A huge number of the features has been already inclusive in the earlier version of the Autopilot feature, although the company stated that they would need to be rigorously certified and confirmed before the features could be reintroduced.

The aforementioned confirmation may imply that it is very well in the process of arrival, although it is very not clear what exact features shall be coming, the CEO indicated that many shall soon be coming implicates a number may need and still require additional review and testing. In a prior social media post, the CEO said that the Tesla Autopilot vision neural net is working very well now, but that Tesla "just need to get a lot of road time to validate in a wide range of environments.".
