People of the Northern Kingdoms, those who are not within the snowy mountain region in Skellige of course, can now experience what its like to have a snowy weather, all thanks to the new "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" game modification called "Winter is Coming."

As the name implies, the new mod, which was created by Nexus community member KNGR, will give "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" a fresh new look, specifically a winter season. Interestingly enough, the release of "Winter is Coming" is oddly perfect and just in time for the Christmas.

The Good, the bad, and the ugly of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" mod "Winter is Coming"

While the new terrain look is, without a doubt, impressive, it still has a few bugs and glitches in some area. According to the report from GameRant, "Winter is Coming" does not cover every texture in "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" in snow, specifically the roof and the leaves.

Another thing that players who want to download this mod must keep in mind is that they shouldn't expect to see the snowy terrain in Toussaint. PCGamesN reported that the expansion "Blood and Wine" has not been covered by the "Winter is Coming" just yet.

Fans' reaction to the snowy details of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" mod

Despite the flaw that was mentioned above, many fans still liked "Winter is Coming." For one, though, it somehow gives off a "Game of Thrones" vibe, especially when Geralt of Rivia goes into a forest that makes it similar to the Beyond the Wall region in the popular HBO series.

Others might also see a bit of resemblance to the 2011 critically acclaimed Bethesda game, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," mostly because of the snowy area and the dark atmosphere of it.
