Who doesn't love Super Mario? Since it first release in the NES era, he's been there to make video games so fun to play. However, today's Super Mario Run would not be complete if Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Toad, and Toadette are not included.

Here's how to unlock all five characters in Super Mario Run, as reported on Gamenguide:

The first character to be unlocked is Princess Peach. After being held hostage by the evil Bowser, Mario, once again, has to travel different worlds and try to save her princess. Thus, she can only be unlocked if you finish the whole game. After unlocking her character, you can now use her special ability: "hovering". Tap once to jump and tap again for her to use her skirt and hover over obstacles.

To unlock Toad, all you have to do is link your My Nintendo Account to the game. This is also considered as a free reward in My Nintendo Rewards. Toad is the fastest runner among all characters.

To unlock Luigi, you need to build and finish Luigi's house in "Kingdom Mode". This is achieved by getting 150 green toads and 150 purple toads from the Toad Rally. Luigi's special skill is being able to jump the highest among all characters.

Meanwhile, Yoshi can be unlocked by getting 30 red toads and 30 green toads in the Toad Rally. This character's special skill is fluttering in the air, which can be useful to reach hard-to-get coins.

The last character to be unlocked is Toadette. In the Toad Rally, you need 200 toads on each of the following colors: red, blue, green, purple, and yellow. However, collecting these amount of toads can be difficult. You can also lose a considerable amount of toads if you do not choose your opponent wisely. Aside from that, Toadette can only be unlocked if Princess Peach is already unlocked.
