'Final Fantasy XV' Chapter 13: A Confusion Between Fans And Reasons Why It Should Stay As Is
C. de LacyWhile there has been a couple of complaints about "Final Fantasy XV" and it's 13th Chapter, the confusion grows more as the patch, which a lot of fans requested to be improved and fixed, turns out to be something they actually want to keep. Let's see what the big deal is with this part of the game.
Possibly one of the lowest moments of "Final Fantasy XV" is when players reach the rather lengthy and dragging Chapter 13, where there will be not much to do. As reported at Kotaku, it would only make sense that people will find this chapter boring as there wouldn't be help and will have players get stuck with only one weapon. The bad thing about it is that there's a good possibility that some will find this part of the game too hard even.
However, with the span of 15 chapters, the big question is that will "fixing" the bad chapter actually introduce an improvements for the game's overall experience? To some extent, Square Enix is well aware of the situation and actually made an announcement regarding fixing it. This proves that this part was actually intentional.
Some witty observation by folks from Wired made a couple of points regarding "Final Fantasy XV" and the reason why it should actually stay. To sum it all up, Chapter 13 is pretty much a representation of the sudden silence before the storm given that there are two more chapters to go through.
It is also a classical approach to making the players feel isolated and underpowered, which in turn brings a great feeling of fulfillment after going through it all. This is pretty similar with the PlayStation classic "Metal Gear Solid," where Solid Snake gets captured while trying to save Meryl, escapes the torture, heads back to the starting point and return for a challenge with Sniper Wolf.
There is official word on when the next patch will be rolled out for "Final Fantasy XV," but here's to hoping that the changes for Chapter 13 will be subtle and not overhauled to feel like a spoon fed scenario.
