'Final Fantasy XV' Guide: How To Easily Get The Best Weapons For Post-Game Bosses And Challenges [Spoiler-Free]

C. de Lacy

For those who have finished "Final Fantasy XV," there are more challenges awaiting, especially the pending patch, which is also yet to come. To gear up, here's a quick list of all the weapons that could help ace all these post-game challenges and more.

Soul Saber

For those who aren't suckers for Greatswords, the best next thing to a one-handed solution is the Soul Saber. This beauty can be acquired by completing Randolph's quests up to the Cursed Legend. The final quest to get this sword will involve fighting a level 85 enemy so preparation is the key to getting this sword.

Balmung

Possibly the best sword in-game and could compete with the Ultima Blade. The Balmung can be found at Steyliff Grove Dungeon, which will be visited first at Chapter 7 along with Aranea. However, you'll have to return here at Chapter 15 to get the sword, which can be found at the second dungeon area behind the sealed door.

Ultima Blade

Arguably one of the best weapon in-game on top of it having the term "Ultima" in it. This can be acquired by doing the "A better engine blade" quests with Cid. There are three quests in total that can be started as early as Chapter 2.

The first quest can be open once the player brings a Rusted Bit to Cid. The second becomes active and available after clearing the first one where Cid will ask the player to find a Glass Gemstone.

The third one will be available immediately after clearing the second one and this time, the player is tasked into finding a Sturdy Helixhorn, which can only be acquired from Duplicorns. These monsters can be found at Old Lestallum, which is just southwest of Lestallum.

Once all the materials are given to Cid, the player simply needs to wait for a while and clear a couple of quests.

Death Penalty

A combination of fanservice and somewhat a serious weapon that packs the ultimate punch. It has a base damage of 424, which is way more than the Balmung or the Ultima Blade.

It is a fanservice for those who have played "Final Fantasy VII" as this Vincent Valentine's gun.

To get this, the player needs to clear the game first and get a hold of the Dungeon Seal key. The weapon is located at Balouve Mines, where a secret door can be found. Another killer boss is waiting for the players in this dungeon so be sure to gear up well for this fight.
