PlayStation 4 vs Xbox Project Scorpio: Sony Watering Down Microsoft's Upcoming Console With Its 2017 Lineup?

Project Scorpio went ahead with the hype train as it was announced prior to anything hype-worthy from its biggest competition, Sony. However, Sony's PlayStation 4 lineup might be stealing the spotlight from the Scorpio with its 2017 lineup of games.

As Sirusgaming have reported, it would seem like Sony is serious with its game lineup more than just buffing its hardware as opposed to Microsoft bringing the "most powerful console ever" on the table. The Project Scorpio, as Microsoft puts it, will be able to play games on a native 4K resolution unlike the PlayStation 4 Pro, which was a bit of a let down with its upscaled resolution.

However, Sony might have stolen the potential spotlight that the Project Scorpio have envisioned for 2017 and its all thanks to the lineup of games slated for the 2017 for the PlayStation 4, particularly the titles revealed on the recent PlayStation Experience event.

Fans are very much aware that the Project Scorpio will be able to run the most graphic-intensive games with the most demanding visuals. The PlayStation 4 Pro tried to get this done, but there are some huge limitations and obvious hiccups with the attempt to bring the full 4K resolution with the smoothest framerates possible.

However, as Sirusgaming have stated and what might be the actual bigger picture, the PlayStation 4 still have the upper hand in terms of stronger line up of games to be out next year. The following are just a few games from these highly anticipated games;

Gravity Rush 2 - January 20, 2017

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue - January 24, 2017

Digimon World: Next Order - January 31, 2017

Nioh - February 9, 2017

Nier: Automata - March 7, 2017 (with PC version coming TBA 2017)

Persona 5 - April 4, 2017

As fro the Xbox One and particularly, Project Scorpio, it's still a shame that we have not heard a lot about anything first party as of yet. It may still be too early to conclude and there's still "Scalebound" and "Halo Wars 2," but this wouldn't honestly be enough to get a rock-solid grip of the fans.

Be sure to stay tuned for more PlayStation 4 and Project Scorpio comparison.
