One final DLC for the year is scheduled for "Star Wars Battlefront" and it will be based off the the upcoming spinoff film "Rouge One: A Star Wars Story."

As reported by IGN, the DLC will be introducing four new additional multiplayer maps in the game and all these maps are basically located at planet Scarif. This is the same exact planet from the upcoming film "Rouge: One A Star Wars Story."

Two new additional heroes will also be added in the game and will be distributed on both the Light and the Dark side. The first one's Jyn Erso of the Rebel Alliance, which is played by Felicity Jones on the first film. The other character the man behind the Death Star, Director Orson Krennic, which is added to the Dark Side along with the Empire.

The new DLC will also add an entirely new game mode that will let players battle out on both ground and space combat. Some reports say that there will be additional perks, achievements and weapons though there are no official word on them yet as of the moment.

One of the highlights of the December 6 release is the PlayStation VR feature called "Star Wars Battlefront Rouge One: X-Wing VR mission," which goes out alongside the said DLC. The VR mission is fortunately free, though it could be a bit of a rough ride, especially with how battles on space rolls out in the "Star Wars" universe.

For Season Pass holders, there's no need to purchase the "Rouge One: Scarif" DLC as it will be be automatically be applied.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is a series of first- and third-person shooter video game based on the "Star Wars" films. Players take the role of soldiers in either of two opposing armies in different time periods of the universe.
