The nine-month old game released by developer Campo Santo called "Firewatch" now has a new mode that will let players explore the game's environment without being constricted as well as a few features that will support PlayStation 4 Pro.

According to a report courtesy Digital Trends, players of "Firewatch" will finally be treated to a the much needed freedom of exploring the Wyoming without being limited to certain scenarios.

"If you, like so many others, have finished Firewatch and yearn to return to the Shoshone, then today is your lucky day," the developer stated on the report. "Firewatch's free-roam mode gives you an objective-free game world to explore, dynamic 24-hour time of day, and miles of trails to hike."

However, the only catch with this mode to be enjoyed is the players need to clear the game first. Those who haven't done so are still required to do so. It automatically gets added in the special features section afterwards.

Campo Santo have also updated "Firewatch" to be more PlayStation 4 Pro friendly as it will be released soon. It wouldn't be a necessity to get a 4K HD TV as the 1080p resolutions will be showing enhanced visuals and significantly higher detail, shadow quality and faster loading time.

For those who will be playing the game with a PlayStation 4 Pro and a 4K HDTV will enjoy the full perks of the latest update as it will greatly show the improve graphical fidelity of the game, but the 4K textures will only be limited with the user interface. Half of that resolution will be for the actual 3D models in-game, though it is still twice the size of the standard 1080p to boot.

These updates will be added to "Firewatch" free of charge and the game is still available for purchase for a mere $20 on both the PlayStation Store, Xbox Marketplace and Steam.
