'Watch Dogs 2' Season Pass Isn't As Exciting Like The Fans Expected It And Here's Why

Videogame season passes have been more like a norm these days as it provides players an assurance of additional content that they may wish to get with no further transactions. "Watch Dogs 2" seems to be a bit different and in a bad way however.

While season passes are generally acceptable these days, "Watch Dogs 2" might just be one exception to this as Cheat Code Central have reported. Season passes are usually something that a gamer would go for to get every additional content for lower prices. Sometimes, even sales happen for even more savings.

"Watch Dogs 2" season pass is entirely different and as much as we'd hate to admit it, Ubisoft seems to be asking more than what it is supposed to be. Instead of the usual $30 season pass, they, instead, offer a $40 ones.

Now, going down with the $40 season pass, there are two day-one content packs included with it, which is a nice thing going on for it. However, the Psychedelic Pack is only limited to providing the player a dayglo clothing, a card, a drone and some weapon options.

With the previous game in the series, something like this would be priced around $2.99 - $3.99 at most. The other content called Root Access provides more, though as it was detailed in Ubisoft's blog, any player would expect it as a standalone with price no more than $4.99.

A potential tick off is the rest of the content, which most of them are normally provided as free updates. The extra difficulty level, a new co-op mode and some 1-2 hour long story missions.

We can't say for sure if anything about this Season Pass is final, but given the reactions of fans and would-be owners of "Watch Dogs 2," the game's reputation may go down south earlier than expected. Some used-to-be fans are already even planning on boycotting anything that the publisher is dishing out.

Hopefully, the price for the season pass for "Watch Dogs 2" will be justified sooner or later. After all, it is still more than a week away. Be sure to stay tuned for the latest updates.
