Is 'Battlefield 1' Really Better On PS4 Pro? Game Said To Show Stable Frame Rate On New Console

World War I themed shooter "Battlefield 1" is set to be one of the launch titles for Sony's new PlayStation 4 Pro, but EA DICE is still keeping quiet about it.

The PS4 Pro has recently launched, according to the Playstation Blog, and "Battlefield 1" fans are dying to find out if there will be any significant improvements to the overall game. The folks at EA DICE, however, are not announcing any PS4 Pro patches for "Battlefield 1" as of this writing.

Despite the silence from EA DICE, some fans have claimed that "Battlefield 1" runs much better on the PS4 Pro, based on their own experience. One Reddit user took to the PS4 Subreddit to share his experience with "Battlefield 1" on the PS4 Pro.

"Putting in 'Battlefield 1' (without my savegame from my regular PS4) on my SDR 1080p TV I was immediately blown away by the sharpness from the intro/tutorial," Redditor Cerraent commented. "While the campaign had a distracting aliasing on trees and foliage on my regular PS4, everything was extremely crisp and the texture detail was amazing (mud, gravel and so on)."

The Redditor also compared "Battlefield 1" on PS4 Pro versus the original PS4, and he said that the game has much more stable frame rate on the new console. There is also a "huge increase" in sharpness, the Redditor claimed.

Another "Battlefield 1" player, BakedTanooki on NeoGAF forums (spotted by WCCF Tech) has also said that he had a better gaming experience on the PS4 Pro.

"Framerate feels much smoother now, when playing with 64 players," the NeoGAF user commented. "It doesn't look like absolutely locked 60fps, but it's much much better."

So why isn't EA DICE saying anything about the PS4 Pro at the moment? According to Push Square, the developer is not allowed to discuss this due to a non-disclosure agreement. This was revealed by Julian Manolov, an engineer at EA DICE.
