The first two "Marvel Ultimate Alliance" games were some of the greatest games back in the day, and fans never heard of a sequel for almost a decade now. Rumors of a "Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3" have started surfacing earlier this year and it seems like it is happening for real.
Back in July, the team behind "Marvel Ultimate Alliance" 1 and 2 have decided to bring the game to current generation platforms like the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This made sure that great games like these two can still be enjoyed on the present-day consoles by those who have missed it.
Speculations like the ones reported by Inverse indicate that there's more to just bringing a nine year-old game to the current generation platforms. One of the fans' most anticipated titles from Activision, who was behind the first and second game, is none other than the long overdue third entry.
Going back to what Mike Jones, executive producer of the game, mentioned back in San Diego Comic-Con (via Kotaku) when regarding the third game, he hinted that "Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3" is happening.
"Following the footsteps of a proud Marvel tradition, I'll say anything is possible, true believers!"
Still, there are some speculations that the game may still not be under development at the moment, especially given the fact that Activision may take the fans and players responses for the re-released titles, which didn't do pretty great at least without a number of third party fixes.
Still, fans are hopeful that "Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3" could be released on 2017 as a justification of the slightly horrendous port on the Steam. Be sure to stay tuned for more news and updates.
