Sony has recently denied that it blocked players who asked for a refund and cancellation for "No Man's Sky."

Yet another controversy related to Hello Games' open-space exploration game has surfaced. Players have been complaining that Sony has blocked them off from contacting the Playstation Network support chat after their refunds were processed.

"Apparently it now seems that myself and others can't access PSN Support chat for absolutely anything because Sony seems to have blocked off our IDs from support chat," NEOGaf forum user Admiral Woofington posted. "Trying with a made up ID takes us to chat. All of us seem to have the same situation of having previously requested a refund or a cancellation."

Another forum user jedivulcan added that their PSN ID is also blocked from web chat due to a refund request made in August last year.

"Glad I found this topic pop up because I this is a bigger issue that Sony isnt being transparent enough about and it folds into the rest of their business practices," the forumer said.

The company, however, denied that bans were given out to Playstation Network users.

"We definitely don't ban people from any support channels (whether they have or haven't had a refund)," Sony told Gadgets 360 in response to their email.

Disappointed fans slammed developer Hello Games, led by Sean Murray, for giving false expectations about "No Man's Sky" prior to launch. The president of Sony's Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, has recently defended the indie studio and "No Man's Sky" on Twitter, despite initially blaming them for the incident.

"If any of you have questioned, I have always been awed, amazed, inspired and energized by what Hello Games has accomplished with 'No Man's Sky'," the Sony boss tweeted, prompting backlash from the community.

Both Sean Murray's and Hello Games' social media accounts have been quiet since the issue, although Murray is expected to break his silence on Geoff Keighley's "Live With Youtube Gaming" show sometime in the future, Playstation Lifestyle reported.
