The South Korean technology giant Samsung has recently launched their new Galaxy A9 Pro 2016 smartphone model in India, which was first made official in China back in March and in Malaysia in June.

It was said that the device is priced at Rs 32, 490 or around $485, similar to China, and is reported to be available to all the buyers starting September 26.

According to Phone Radar, the launching of the Galaxy A9 Pro 2016 is one way of diverting the attention from the Galaxy Note 7's recent issue of battery pack explosion which has costed the company around $1 billion.

Moreover, the new device is the successor to the Galaxy A9, which comes in three colors, namely Gold, White, and Black.

Its updates include the new 4GB variant RAM which is the latest in the smartphone market and is featuring a 6-inch super AMOLED display with FULL HD resolution of 1920x1080 Pixels.

The smartphone is being powered by 1,8Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which is accompanied by 652 Octa-core processor with Andreno 510 GPU. It is loaded with 32GB of Internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB through a microSD card.

In addition, the A9 Pro runs on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with customized TouchWiz UI.

The new device's camera has an 8MP front shooter and 16MP rear camera, which is quite impressive with a LED Flash Light, Autofocus, Optical Image Stabilization or OIS.

The latest addition in the device is the fingerprint sensor which is equipped with the Home button on the front for security purposes.

The smartphone is backed by a huge 5,000mAH battery that could last up to three working days of moderate usage, which includes a good deal of web browsing, Facebook surfing, Google Map navigation and YouTube binge watching, as reported by The Star.

Measuring 161.7 x 80.9 x 7.9mm and weighing in at 210g, the device is not meant for long one-handed usage as it is rather bulky for those who have average-sized palms.

The Galaxy A9 Pro 2016 is considered more affordable, but is still as good as other Samsung flagship phones.
