iOS 10: People Need Not To Worry About Bricking Their Devices With The Update

Not more than a day ago, several reports pertaining to the over the air update for iOS 10 bricking devices started popping out. It could be the best time to update your device now as Apple started rolling out some fixes and changes.

A recent post from MacRumors indicated several reports about users getting their iPhones and iPads, in lack of a better term, bricked by installing the recently released iOS 10 update, specifically with the OTA option. The devices are being put in to recovery mode, which requires them to restore their devices manually.

This affected a number of device, including the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, as well as the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6.

There were, however, no reports of people getting the same problem from updating their iOS versions with the iTunes method, though it was a bit slower than the usual OTA approach.

For those who haven't tried updating to iOS 10 yet may do so now as Apple have already made the necessary fixes in the error.

Apple's John Paczkowski made a statement regarding the recurring issue for the devices and should now fix everything.

"We experienced a brief issue with the software update process, affecting a small number of users during the first hour of availability. The problem was quickly resolved and we apologize to those customers. Anyone who was affected should connect to iTunes to complete the update or contact AppleCare for help."

The iOS 10 update brings a slew of new features that focus on users' security. It also has new features like "raise to wake," customization of animation speed, better keyboard and greatly improved battery life.

Most-used apps like the Camera and the Messenger also get nice treatments like the RAW capture as well as tweaked Emoji designs for users to play around with.

Stay tuned for more updates and use for iOS 10.
