It is only a week away from the launch of Xbox-exclusive action-adventure game "ReCore." Here's what you need to know about Microsoft's new IP ahead of its release date.

Who made "ReCore"?

"ReCore" is the brainchild of Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune, representing development studio Comcept, and Armature Studio, the developers responsible for "Metroid Prime" and "Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate."

What is "ReCore" about?

According to the official game website, "ReCore" follows the exploits of young survivor Joule Adams, who is on a mission to build a new home for mankind in "Far Eden." She sets off on her journey through the desert, only for things to go terribly wrong.

Corebots have gone rogue, and sandstorms have plagued the land. With her trusty Corebot companion Mack, Joule must set things right and thus bring new life and hope to Far Eden.

Who will accompany Joule on her journey?

Apart from Mack, Joule's dog-like Corebot companion, she will be joined by other Corebots on her journey to restore things in Far Eden. Her allies include "Escape Artist" Corebot Seth who will serve as Joule's heavy lifter, while "Heavy Hitter" Duncan is, as what his nickname implies, capable of crushing rocks and other obstacles.

What would the gameplay be like?

How much would the game cost?

Surprisingly, "ReCore"'s retail price will be considerably less than the normal price for AAA games. The game, which is one of Microsoft's heavy hitters this year, will be sold for only $40 at launch.

"With new IP like that, ideally, launch timing matters a lot," Xbox Marketing Manager Aaron Greenberg said during a TXR Podcast, "So that's why you're seeing us launch it as our first title of the season; it's coming in September. So getting out early."

"The second thing is it doesn't have an existing base of fans. So we have to build that fan base," he continued.

"So we kind of have to earn their vote. We have to earn their trust. We have to earn their dollar," the Xbox Marketing Manager added.

To make the long story short, gamers will be able to get "ReCore," a game created by top notch developers, on both Xbox One and PC for only $40. Will it be worth the price? Find out when it launches on Sept. 13.
