Next on our "Pokémon GO" guide, we will talk about Eevee and its first generation evolved forms.
Eevee is arguably one of the most adorable Pokémon in "Pokémon GO," or any "Pokémon" title for that matter.
The Normal-type fox-like Pokémon can be spotted everywhere in the augmented reality game, but what sets it apart from other Pokémon is its ability to evolve into three different forms, each with its own elemental properties: fire, water and electric.
This brings us to the question: Which Eevee evolution is the strongest? Let's take a look at each of them in more detail.
Water Evolution: Vaporeon
The water-type Eevee evolution, Vaporeon, boasts a balanced attack and defense stat, but has the highest stamina among the three, according to The Silph Road and Rankedboost.
Vaporeon was considered one of the strongest Pokémon in the game before the recent update. Niantic Labs has nerfed some of the water Pokémon's moves like its primary attack Water Gun, dropping its power from 10 to 6.
Vaporeon might not be the strongest now, but it still packs a healthy stamina compared to other Pokémon. To get Eevee to evolve into Vaporeon, change its name to Rainer, a nod to The Eevee Brothers in the 40th episode of the original "Pokémon" TV show.
Fire Evolution: Flareon
Eevee's fire-type evolution Flareon has the highest base attack among the three, although comparing its moves across the board, it has the slowest moveset in the bunch, which kind of balances it out.
Fire-types are always a welcome addition to any Pokémon arsenal, and with water-type Vaporeon nerfed, most gyms would now show a change in defense lineup.
Flareon may not stand a chance against water-type Pokémon, but it is stil worth evolving based on its base attack alone. In order to evolve Eevee into Flareon, change its name to Pyro.
Electric Evolution: Jolteon
The electric-type evolution of Eevee, Jolteon, is the weakest among the three. The only good reason to get a Jolteon at this point is that it is strong against water-type Pokémon, and there are a lot of strong water-type Pokémon in "Pokémon GO."
If you choose to get Jolteon as your next Eevee evolution, change its name to Sparky.
